FIELD NOTE · WOFEX · MANILA
At WOFEX 2026, Nutoast joined local partner Prime Pacific Foods to bring nut ingredients out of the catalogue and into a working application setting. Through live preparation, tasting and face-to-face conversations, visitors could see how different nut formats may become part of bakery, pastry, dessert and beverage development.
Before the Rush
Before the exhibition floor became crowded, the team prepared the counter for a full day of demonstrations and conversations. Products were arranged around the working area rather than presented only as packaged samples.

The setup allowed visitors to move easily between viewing the ingredients, watching the preparation process and discussing possible applications with the Nutoast team. It reflected the idea Nutoast brought to the exhibition: nut ingredients are better understood when people can see what they become.
Where Ingredients Became Applications
The live preparation counter quickly became the centre of activity. Instead of beginning with a long product introduction, the culinary team worked directly with pistachio ingredients, preparing and presenting finished applications in front of visitors.

A recurring question soon emerged: how can pistachio sauces and pastes be incorporated more effectively into existing products?

Visitors were interested not only in pistachio as a flavour, but also in the practical route from ingredient to application—where it could be used, what kind of finished product it could support, and how an idea could be adapted to their own product-development context.
The conversation was no longer simply about pistachio ingredients. It was about how to turn them into products that work in a real market.
The demonstrations gave visitors a useful starting point for those discussions. Instead of speaking only in specifications, the team could use finished applications to explore possible formats, recipes and development directions.
From Tasting to Application Questions
As the booth became busier, short tastings developed into more focused exchanges. At the front counter, many visitors returned to the same practical question: how could Nutoast’s pistachio sauces and pastes fit into products they already make—or into new concepts they are considering?

These conversations moved naturally from flavour and appearance to application possibilities. Depending on the visitor’s business, the discussion could involve bakery, pastry, desserts, beverages or convenient ready-to-sell formats.
The same question continued in a more in-depth meeting with representatives from a major local convenience retail operator. Rather than focusing on a single ingredient in isolation, the conversation explored how pistachio could be translated into product concepts suited to an established retail environment.

For Nutoast, this was an important field observation. Interest in pistachio was already visible; what customers needed next was clearer application guidance—ideas they could understand, evaluate and adapt to their own products and channels.
Working in a Local Context
Nutoast participated at WOFEX alongside Prime Pacific Foods, placing the brand within a broader local food-industry environment.

The collaboration created space for Nutoast to meet visitors through a locally connected platform while contributing its own nut-application perspective. It also helped conversations move beyond a simple product introduction and toward the realities of local channels, customer needs and application development.
Our thanks go to the Prime Pacific Foods team, the culinary professionals at the booth and everyone who stopped to watch, taste and speak with us.
The Exhibition Ends. Application Development Continues.
WOFEX gave us a close view of how local visitors responded to pistachio ingredients when they were presented through finished applications.
Across conversations at the counter and in more focused meetings, one need appeared repeatedly: customers wanted to understand how pistachio sauces and pastes could be incorporated more effectively into products for their own markets.
That question will continue to guide our next discussions—not only which pistachio ingredient to introduce, but how to connect it with the right product format, application direction and customer context.
